Meet Honey Bear: The Sweetest Soul Looking for a Window to Call His Own

Honey Bear didn't have the easiest start—he showed up as a wanderer on a neighbor’s porch right in the middle of our recent winter storms. Seeing him out in the cold, the neighborhood truly rallied together to keep him safe. Neighbors spent days sending notes back and forth to one another, coordinating food and shelter, and working as a team to find a better solution for this sweet boy. From the moment he was finally taken in, he proved that his name is 100% accurate. This 3-5-year-old gentleman is the definition of 'mellow.'

If you’re looking for a super chill companion, Honey Bear is your guy. He is incredibly friendly to everyone he meets and gets along great with other cats. He’s recently neutered, so while he currently has those adorable, chubby tomcat cheeks, his rescuers tell us he’s quickly transitioning into his final form: a professional couch potato.

Honey Bear has a few favorite things that make him truly special. For instance, he is a cat who actually loves a good tummy scratch and will happily lean in for belly rubs. He also truly enjoys being held and cuddled, making him the ultimate lap cat companion. When he isn't asking for affection, he spends much of his day bird watching; give him a sunny window and he is content for hours. Above all, he is a social butterfly who simply loves being near his people and his other feline friends.

Honey Bear is neutered, up to date on his shots, healthy, and ready to trade his porch-wandering days for a lifetime of indoors-only luxury. If you have a spot on your sofa (and in your heart) for this sweet bear, please reach out!

Honey Bear is neutered, chipped, and current on vaccines.

Adoption Fee: The adoption fee is a $50 donation to the San Jose Woman's Club. For more information, please email bff@sjwomansclub.org

More about this rescue

13th Street Cats is an all volunteer organization dedicated to improving the lives of feral and social cats and reducing the population by TNR – Trap, Neuter, Return in Santa Clara County. Kittens and cats that can be socialized are taken into foster care while waiting adoption. With a no kill philosophy, 13th St Cats is pleased to be able to rescue these homeless animals who might otherwise end up in a local kill shelter, helping to reduce euthanasia rates.
