I can be kind of shy around people, I really want them to like me but I get nervous. I rely on my sisters--Lovie and Laurel for encouragement. We love to play together outside, I would probably do really well in a home with another dog to show me the ropes. In the right home I will be a great boy! Please put in an application for me today, and I am scheduled to be neutered January 24, 2026. Since I am just a puppy, I will require vetting in the next year. So far I have had my rabies vaccine, Bordetella (kennel cough prevention), heartworm prevention, and flea/tick prevention. I will still need DAPP and DAPP boosters, and a neuter once I'm 6 months old. Safe Haven asks for a separate $100 security check to stay on file until proof of my neuter is emailed to the shelter. Safe Haven is a non-profit that relies completely on donations to save pups like me. However, if needed, Safe Haven can reimburse you $200 towards the neuter costs and $20 towards the rabies vaccine. If you have any questions about me please call the shelter at 815-858-2265 or email safehaven1471@gmail.com. Please fill out an adoption application for me at www.safehavenforpets.org. Please visit our website www.safehavenforpets.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Once an application is approved, we ask potential adopters to come to the shelter to visit the pet or pets they are interested in. If it seems like a great fit, then we would have you fill out the Adoption Contract and provide you with the pet's medical chart, some of the food it is currently eating, and offer any advice we can on that individual cat or dog.
