My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Love a senior cat? Then you have to meet Carol.
She came to us a stray, and has spent her whole life outdoors on her own. When she came to us she was in really bad shape. Her coat was matted to her skin, and it was clear she had suffered a lot in her time outdoors. Bey yet she remained the sweetest little purr machine.

Since coming into our care we have sent this sweet gal into foster so we could have a better Idea of her needs, and she has loved every minute of her fancy indoor life, and hasn't looked back on her tough years on the streets.

Despite her hardships she is so happy to have a safe place. She greets her foster mom with the sweetest little chirps and purrs, and cozies up for a cuddle often.

Carol will need a family that is willing to give her the medical support she needs. She has some arthritis from suffering a pretty significant injury on the streets that healed without care. But she doesn't let that stop her, she manages just fine in the home with no problem using her litter box, but she may need some little steps to help her up on the bed to sleep with her humans!!

If you would like to adopt Carol and let her have a few great years in your home please apply online as she is currently in foster.

Carol may be ok with another elderly cat in the home, but would prefer to live without dogs and small children.

Our Mission:

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its 36 branches located around BC and its provincial office in Vancouver, the BC SPCA provides a wide range of services for more than 53,000 homeless, abused, and abandoned animals around the province. Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:
