Meet Mick! Mick was a `community cat` who formed a close friendship with another cat and would wait by the door and sneak into the house to visit him every chance he could. :-) Unfortunately, his buddy moved away and it is time for Mick to find his own loving home.
Mick is very friendly and affectionate. He may nip or swat if he gets overstimulated, so it is important to pay attention to how you are petting him and his body language so you can tell when he needs a little break. Mick appears to be sensitive about being touched along his back, which is pretty common for cats. Meanwhile, he loves cheek and neck rubs so keep those coming! Please allow Mick to initiate and show you all of his sweet spots and enjoy his wonderful purr!
Mick would do best in a household without young children. In addition to getting along great with other cats, Mick was fine with the family's dog and would often use him as a ruse to sneak into the house. If he is going to be allowed outdoors in his new home, he should be given an appropriate acclimation period so he does not try to return to his old neighborhood.
