My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🌾 Meet Dilly! 🌾 Dilly joined TRI on New Year's Eve as our last intake of 2025! Dilly is about 2 years and 9 months old. She is a goldendoodle weighing about 66 pounds. Dilly transferred into TRI from a good Samaritan who took Dilly under her wings when the former owner was suffering a personal crisis. Dilly is now healthy and looking for a forever home.

Dilly is on the shy side with new people. Once she grows comfortable, Dilly is extremely loving and affectionate. A new family should be committed to keeping Dilly socialized and introduced to new situations so she keeps growing. Dilly does great at the groomers and also attends doggie daycare. She has not been around cats or small animals.

Dilly is crate trained. She enjoys chewing on bones and playing with toys. And she requires a home that will give her lots of hugs and belly rubs! Dilly is still young and thus an active dog that will need to be exercised. Dilly is also potty trained but will have an occasional accident if her routine is disrupted.

More about this rescue

The Rescue Inn, Inc. ("TRI") is an Ohio non-profit, foster-based rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of dogs in need.

We are run by a dedicated group of volunteers who are passionate about our four-legged friends. Our mission is to save dogs from high kill shelters and abuse/neglect situations and place those animals into loving and permanent homes. We promote responsible animal ownership and provide medical treatment, foster care and training to unwanted, abandoned, lost or surrendered animals.

Our animals are spayed/neutered, receive appropriate veterinary care and are placed into a safe, secure foster home while waiting for their permanent home. We also strive to work with other area shelters and rescues to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to enhance our rescue mission.
