Mimi is a 14 year old female. I adopted her from a vet clinic in 2012. Mimi has always been sweet with me. It takes her some time to warm up to others but once she trusts you, she will let her guard down. Although she will hiss at strangers/household members she does not like, she is never physically aggressive.
Mimi has struggled a lot the past 9 years. She has not adjusted well to a move in 2017, new puppy in 2018, and the birth of my daughter in 2019.
I feel terrible saying this but I cannot take care of Mimi to the best of my ability in the later years of her life. I am struggling with my mental health and the additional family demand of taking care of my father-in-law. She deserves better and I believe would be much happier in a calmer and more attentive environment.
