Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Arthur!
About: Arthur was very scared when he first arrived at the shelter, often cowering in his kennel and hissing at those working with him who he perceived as a threat. Despite this initial expression of fear, Arthur has been coming around very well with his volunteer friends. He`s currently to the point where he happily rolls over and makes air biscuits for those that he is familiar with, initiating pets and overall seeming to be a very happy boy! He is still nervous when he comes into contact with new faces, but he is not nearly as nervous as he used to be in this situation. He can often be won over in just a few minutes -- especially if the new people are being introduced by someone that he already trusts. Arthur is a very loyal boy in terms of extending his friendship to friends-of-friends! If you are looking for a friendly, goofy boy to bring into your home and are willing to give him lots of time and space to adjust to a new environment, then Arthur is an excellent candidate for you!
Ideal home: Arthur`s ideal home is anywhere that is willing to give him the affection that he deserves and the time to open up fully.
If you are interested in meeting Arthur or have any questions, please fill out an online adoption application, send an email to info@hskl.ca expressing your interest, or stop by the shelter during our open hours. Arthur is waiting to love you!
