The neighbors tell me that this cat has been living on this street for about 3-4 years, and I just moved here last year. We know that previous owner for our house only fed her. She lives on the street but is very friendly with people in general. I haven’t seen her bothered by dogs, but I haven’t seen her with cats either. She started getting sick in September-October, and in November we took her to the vet, they told us it looked like a tumor but couldn’t confirm it, so they gave her antibiotics. We took her a second time and they gave her pain medication because she cannot walk normally. They told us that it´s probably a tumor because it had not shrunk since we took her first time.
We were quoted around 5,000 dollars for her surgery, plus subsequent care and medication. Although we would love to be able to help her more, financially it´s impossible for us, and I wouldn’t like to see her continue living on the streets like this.
