Meet Max 🐾 — our goofy, lovable hound who is SO ready for freedom!
Max is a ~3-year-old male hound who is neutered and completely OVER kennel life. He came to us as a stray with a microchip, but sadly, no owner ever came for him. The kennel environment scares him, and he doesn’t show his best self behind the bars. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers getting him out as much as possible, we’ve already seen improvement — but Max truly needs a home (or foster) soon so he can fully decompress and thrive.
Once he’s out of the cage, Max is an entirely different dog. He is:
• Loose, wiggly, and full of joy
• Playful with toys and always ready for fun
• Insanely dog-friendly — he recently met a dog who tried to bite him, and Max simply didn’t care… he just wanted to keep playing
• Cat-tolerant
• A total lovebug who doesn’t understand personal space and would happily live inside your skin
Max is jumpy, wiggly, and a big leaner, so we recommend a home with older, sturdier kids who won’t be easily knocked over by his enthusiastic affection.
His bags are packed 🎒
His heart is wide open ❤️
And he is READY to bust out of here for good.
Please share Max’s post to help him find the home he deserves — the kennel is no place for a boy this sweet. 🐶✨
