My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Archie is a charming Chihuahua with a big personality and a big heart. Like a tiny dragon guarding his treasure, Archie has a history of resource guarding around food. If allowed to collect and hoard food items in his bed or crate, he may growl or lunge to protect them. Archie will thrive in a home that understands this behavior or is willing to learn. His new home should be adult only, relatively quiet and commitment to management, structure, and positive reinforcement.

Outside of this challenge, Archie is tons of fun. He loves going for walks, enjoys staying active, and can be an incredibly affectionate, loyal companion. With the right guidance and consistency, Archie has so much love to give and is ready to share his life with someone who sees the wonderful dog he is.

If you are interested in meeting Archie, please email info@worcesterarl.org. Meeting Archie is by appointment only, thank you!

More about this shelter

Since our founding in 1912, the Worcester Animal Rescue League (WARL) has been dedicated to the care of the animals who provide so much for their human companions. Without your support, however, nothing we do would be possible. WARL is a non-profit organization and your donations of money, time, supplies, homes, and love are vital to our cause and the lives of the animals in our care. Our sincerest thanks.
