Each applicant will complete an Adoption Application (located at www.RichmondRuffHouse.org/adopt.html) and submit to the rescue for review and approval and to schedule a one-on-one consultation. Once the initial application is reviewed & approved for processing, a home inspection may be required. Adoption Fee: $350 for puppies (under 6 months of age) or $300 for adult dogs (6 months and older). Adoption fees are used to help support our rescue efforts and allow us to save additional dogs in need.

All dogs are spayed or neutered, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, treated for fleas, and if old enough, tested for heartworms and given their initial dose(s) of heartworm preventatives.

Pets are available on an appointment only basis or at monthly adoption events at locations as indicated.

Richmond Ruff House is a non profit, no-kill dog rescue dedicated to improving the lives of unwanted and abandoned dogs. Our volunteers are dedicated to providing these dogs a safe home, food, medical care, training and love...everything a dog needs to become a happy member of their new family.
