My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I first met Tigger at an estate sale in November 2025. He was tucked quietly in the back of his carrier in the living room, scared and unsure, while his world was changing around him. His beloved owner had moved into assisted living, and despite the family’s best efforts, they couldn’t find him a home. Local shelters were full, and the outlook was grim.

When they called me, Tigger came home with us that very night.

Tigger is a neutered male tabby, estimated to be about 6–8 years old, with no known health issues. He has always been an indoor-only cat and does well in a home environment. He is fully litterbox trained and impeccably well-mannered—despite living with three resident cats (two males and one female), he has never sprayed or missed the box.

Tigger is a shy, sensitive boy who takes his time feeling safe. It took him about three weeks to begin exploring our house, and even now he prefers the comfort of his cozy blanket nest tucked away in a cupboard. Once he trusts you, though, he truly blossoms—head and chin scratches are the key to his heart.

He is polite and communicative with other cats. While he’s a bit wary of our most outgoing feline, he handles the attention calmly, setting boundaries with a gentle meow rather than aggression. There have been no fights—just quiet conversations.

While we wish we had room to make him a permanent part of our home, our space simply can’t support a fourth cat long-term.  Tigger lives in Ashland and his rehoming fee is $75

More about this rescue

Cat's Cradle Rescue keeps cats out of shelters by offering an alternative to a cage - we are a no-kill FOSTER-HOME BASED rescue group that welcomes cats to our home environments as they await adoption.

Why Foster Care? Does your new kitty like children? Does she play with dogs or find other felines too uncomfortable to be around? Does he have consistent litter-box manners? Does he want to cuddle or perhaps his comfort zone is to be more independent. Many life-factors influence cat behavior and while genetics plays a role, we know that human touch, kindness, nurturing and consistency of care are non-negotiable requirements. We provide all of this.
