My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

In 2022, Annie's mom gave birth to a litter of 7 babies under their unsuspecting fosters porch. The outdoors is no place for a domestic rabbit, let along a mom with a litter of babies to care of. Their chances of survival were slim due to disease, parasites, predators, and cars.

Luckily for them, their foster mom took them home and reached out to us for help. She was in for one more surprise as a couple of weeks later their mom gave birth to a second litter of 5 babies because rabbits have a uterus with 2 uterine horns. This allows them to carry multiple litters simultaneously in separate "compartments".

Until recently, Annie was bonded with one of her sisters Clara but in February 2025 they had a falling out. Both sister's are now available for adoption on their own but they would be great candidates to be bonded with a hus-bun.

Annie and Clara are the last of their 12 SIBLINGS left in the rescue who are still looking for a Forever Home!

More about this rescue

At Southeast FL Rabbit Rescue, we believe that every rabbit and guinea pig deserves a loving forever home. Our rescue is 100% volunteer-run and operates entirely through donations and the kindness of our foster families. When you choose to adopt a rescue rabbit or guinea pig from us, you’re not only saving one precious life but also creating an opportunity for us to rescue another animal in need.

All of our rabbits and guinea pigs are spay / neutered and receive annual wellness exams from experienced exotic veterinarians to ensure that they are healthy. They are housed in loving foster homes where they receive daily socialization and rabbits are litter-box trained.
