If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
I adopted Porky from the Oakland SPCA when he was approximately 11 weeks old (June 2025). He has been raised indoors and is accustomed to a home environment. When unsupervised, he stays in a pen and is taken out 4-6 times daily for potty breaks, exercise, and time together.
Porky is approximately 9 months old. He is in the puppy/young adolescent stage and has the high energy and curiosity typical of a Border Collie mix.
I’m seeking a stable, committed home that can meet Porky’s physical and mental needs long-term. Ideally, his new home would have a secure backyard or an active adopter who can provide daily exercise, structured training, and enrichment. Experience with high-energy or working breeds is a plus.
Porky is intelligent, affectionate, energetic, curious, loyal, trainable, and engaging.
He is deeply loved, and this decision has not been made lightly. Due to personal circumstances, I’m no longer able to provide the environment he needs to thrive.
