This young lab mix was dumped near a Whataburger restaurant. I found him trying to jump into people's cars probably trying to go home. I took him in and have fostered him for over a week. He has no microchip or tags. I posted on pawboost, petco lovelost, nextdoor.com, and contacted ACS with no success. Local shelters are full. I am fostering until he gets a permanent home. He has a unique curly tail.
I think he is 3-6 months old, ~30lbs, puppy / toddler. Likes to chew, chase, fetch, rough house. Loves toys. Natural retriever. Very food driven and trainable. He knew "sit" when I got him, has since learned "down" "off" "leave it" and "fetch" "potty" "poop." Appears potty trained (prefers to go outside, but knows how to use pads) and crate trained (comfortable in crate overnight). Not aggressive, but can be protective at night (some grumbling with unknown sounds or people coming up unexpectedly). Good on walks. Gets along well with my little 10lb terrier mix.
