Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Littermates: Shelley, Bay, Breezy, Sailor
Pirate may sound bold, but this fluffy tabby is all charm. Full of curiosity and confidence, Pirate is the kind of kitten who loves to explore every corner, pounce on toys with dramatic flair, and then pop up looking very pleased with themselves. That extra fluff just adds to the personality—equal parts adventurous and cuddly.
Pirate enjoys the company of other cats and would likely do well with kids or dogs given proper introductions. Social, playful, and people-oriented, Pirate is happiest when there’s something to do or someone to hang out with.
If you’re searching for a kitten with a sense of adventure and a soft landing at the end of the day, Pirate is ready to claim their spot in a forever home.
Pirate has an appointment in Providence, Rhode Island, for their spay/neuter on January 27. This appointment is included in the cost of adoption, but the adopter is responsible for getting the cat to/from the appointment (8 am drop off, 130 pm pick up).
We are unable to reschedule this due to the limited availability of low-cost spay/neuter appointments. If you cannot accommodate a weekday appointment, we ask that you consider adopting a kitty that is already spayed/neutered.
Pirate is one of our CATalyst cats—cats who help us catalyze change in our community. At Ten Lives, we’re committed to saving the most at-risk cats, many of whom require extensive medical care and long stays in foster homes. By choosing to adopt a high-demand cat like Pirate, you're not only giving him the loving home he deserves—you’re also helping to fund care for more vulnerable cats, like our Forgotten Felines. Thank you for helping us continue our life-saving work!

CATalyst cats:
At Ten Lives, we believe in saving the most at-risk cats of our community. Many times, these cats require extraordinary medical care and extensive stays in their foster homes before they are ready for adoption. But we don’t think time or money should ever get in the way of a cat receiving the care they deserve! To help us care for these cats, we have increased fees for other cats who are in high demand–such cats aid us in catalyzing change within our community. When you adopt a CATalyst cat, you aren’t just providing a forever home for them; you’re helping many other cats at Ten Lives, like our Forgotten Felines!
Thank you for allowing us to continue our life-saving work!

Please complete an adoption application if you are interested in adopting from Ten Lives! Apply here: https://tenlivescatrescue.org/adoptionapp/
Please Note:
If the cat or kitten is no longer listed in the drop-down menu of the application then they are no longer available for adoption and we are not accepting applications. Due to limited volunteer power, applications submitted for cats or kittens no longer available will not be reviewed.
About Ten Lives:
Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered. We do not have a facility or shelter with regular visiting hours. Out of respect for the time, privacy, and safety of our foster families, we require an approved adoption application before scheduling a meet and greet with a foster cat.
Our goal is to place cats in their best-matched homes and facilitate lifelong adoptions. We do not review applications on a first-come, first-serve basis. We believe that veterinary care is an important part of cat guardianship. As such, a veterinary check is part of our adoption process. Our goal is to contact applicants within 96 business hours of receiving their application. During kitten season, wait times may be longer due to the influx of applications. We are all volunteers and kindly ask for your patience!
All Ten Lives cats are spayed or neutered, receive age-appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLv and parasites, dewormed, treated for fleas, and microchipped. These services are inclusive of the adoption fee.
