My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm Batman. I live in the shadows. Just kidding. I actually live in a foster home. I think I'm pretty awesome but I don't like to brag so I'm going to share my foster mom's description of me. "Batman is a big sweet teddy bear! He starts purring the moment I walk in the house and only stops when he's playing or sleeping. He loves, and I mean LOVES, to cuddle and is happiest when he's curled up next to you at nap time. He's very playful and likes wrestling with his kitten brothers but is he's a pretty laid-back boy. Batman what I would describe as an "easy" kitten. He's perfect in every way and very adaptable. I think he would do great in in a home with other cats, kids, as an only cat and with cat friendly dogs (after slow introductions). He's just that awesome."

Submit Application

Whether you're interested in a specific pet or not, fill out our application online at houstonpetsalive.org.

2.
Meet the Pet

Once your application is approved, a meet and greet will be set up between you and your pet of interest.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

If the meet and greet goes well and your adoption application is approved, you will sign the adoption contract.

4.
Pay Fee

Once the adoption contract is signed, you will pay the adoption fee.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Bring your new best friend home! Remember that it will take some time for him/her to adjust to their new environment.
