My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mermaid! 🧜‍♀️

Mermaid is a beautiful tabby who came to Heartland from Chicago Animal Care and Control. Her and her two children were found outside and brought there. After coming to Heartland, they spent some time in a loving foster home. Now that her babies are ready to find their own paths, Mermaid is looking for a shore to call her own.

She is a gentle, nurturing girl who loves a quiet sunbeam and a soft chin scratch. Having been a young mom, she’s ready to finally be the one who gets pampered. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who is as graceful as her name suggests, Mermaid is waiting for you.

Mermaid is spayed, up-to-date on FVRCP and Rabies vaccinations, and FIV and FeLV negative.

Mermaid is currently staying onsite at our Heartland Facility! Stop by during our open hours on Thursday 4pm-7pm, Friday 4pm-7pm, Saturday Noon-6pm or Sunday Noon-6pm to meet her! No appointment necessary.
