Winter Root is a shy, sweet black cat. It is unknown how he would do with children or dogs but he gets along with other cats. He and his sister Gwen Stacy get along great and he and his foster mate Violet enjoy playing together. He would prefer a quiet home that would match his mellow personality. He'll need patient home as he acclimates to a new environment and gets used to the large world around him. Winter likes cuddling and being held. He is very gentle and even allows his nails to be trimmed with no fuss. He enjoys watching TV and hanging out on the couch. His fiery side comes out when there's food around and he loves to get his energy out by batting around soft ball toys.

Due to my young age, I need to be adopted into a home with another young and playful cat.
I am fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for my age.

FOSTER HOMES NEEDED!!! Twin Cities Pet Rescue is a volunteer-run, foster home-based organization. We can only rescue as many animals as available foster homes. Please consider saving the life of an animal in need and become a volunteer foster home today. To become a foster, fill out a dog or cat foster application on the Twin Cities Pet Rescue website: www.twincitiespetrescue.org . There is little to no cost to foster an animal. Twin Cities Pet Rescue provides its foster families with food, supplies, and veterinary care for its animals. All you need to do is supply the love!

Twin Cities Pet Rescue (TCPR) is a small, 501c3 nonprofit, companion animal rescue organization. TCPR does not have a facility and is 100% foster-based. TCPR rescues dogs, cats and small animals of all breeds; rescuing them from city impounds, puppy mills, and other situations of abuse and neglect. Once rescued, all animals receive veterinary care ranging from spay/neuter, vaccines, microchips, and basic testing to specialty eye surgeries, pet dermatology care, and various other specialty treatments. Once an animal is rescued by TCPR, it remains in a foster home until adopted, no matter how long that might take.
TCPR often rescues animals that are considered “less adoptable” by other rescue organizations, as they are often the ones overlooked and truly left behind; and in need of the most help. These animals might be overlooked due to their age, health status, special needs or breed. TCPR works to help as many animals in need find their furever families as we can, especially helping those animals that need help most.
