Lola Bear is living in a foster home. Please submit an application from our website and/or email dogs@heartlandanimalshelter.org to learn if you are a match!
We met Lola Bear at Chicago Animal Care and Control. Her kind eyes and her soft, fluffy fur won us over, and we're so happy she's a Heartland dog now!
This petite girl may have the look of an old soul, but she's still very young, just under 2 years old! Lola Bear has been decompressing in a foster home, so we know a lot about her. This is what Lola Bear's foster family has to say:
Lola (Bear) is a very calm and sweet dog. She loves to follow you around and sit with you, and often naps throughout the day! She loves to go on walks and chase squirrels, and even loves car rides! She does well meeting people (and dogs) and loves to give kisses. She loves attention and being held! She does like to sleep in bed with you!
Lola Bear does co-exist with the foster family's resident dog and has done well meeting dogs on walks, but she is still protective of her space, so a slow introduction to new canine friends in the house would be key for this independent little lady.
If you're looking to kick off 2026 with a velcro dog by your side, contact us about meeting Lola Bear!
Lola Bear’s adoption fee is $375. This animal is spayed/neutered, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
