My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Mary. I am a gentle calico with an amazing personality. I am a curious gal who likes to explore my surroundings and play with my toys. I'm excellent at bird watching while relaxing on my window bed and never get tired of treats and Churos.

I have made excellent progress in trusting my humans and enjoying my life inside. I would like my new family to help me continue this progress. I will thrive in a home with adults who have had previous cat experience and give me time to get used to my new home. I would be ok with older children/teens who will respect my boundaries.

In my foster home, I live with several cats and a small dog. I like them but my best friend is my calico sister Molly. We are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
