Meet Shelby! She is a 16-pound, 2-year-old Corgi/Jack Russell Terrier mix who was rescued from the Barstow Humane Society. She is pure sunshine and absolutely full of love and life. Shelby is fantastic with other dogs and wonderful with children and adults alike. She is a dream in the car and walks like a champ on a leash. She loves being outside sniffing, exploring, and soaking up everything life has to offer, and she would make an amazing hiking buddy, beach companion, walking partner, or farmers market sidekick. While she has plenty of energy, she is not destructive or overwhelming and settles nicely when it is time for quiet time. Shelby sleeps through the night, is doing great with potty training, and is incredibly affectionate. She loves hopping into laps, wagging her darling curly tail, and showering her people with kisses. Shelby is a happy, loving girl, and anyone would be lucky to welcome her into their family.

We require an application, application approval, meet and greet, home check, adoption fee and a contract.

2 months -12 months: $425
1 year - 6 years $375
7 years+ - $325

Adoption fee includes :

Shots up to date of adoption, wellness exam, fecal test,
Spay/neuter, Micro-chip and any other medical needed.

We also require to stay first on the micro-chip info for life and have a life time return policy on all our rescue dogs adopted out.

Unfortunately, we do not adopt out of state under any circumstances. We recommend that you visit your local shelter or dog rescues in your area if you are looking to adopt.

I.C.A.R.E. is an all breed, no kill dog rescue. We rescue dogs at risk of being euthanized from shelters, abandoned, abused, and stray dogs. We also rescue many owner surrendered dogs; which are dogs that can no longer remain in their current homes due to financial or personal issues. I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue is dedicated to reducing the number of dogs that are euthanized in our shelters each and everyday. We focus on rescuing and rehabilitating them in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their permanent homes. We also focus on educating the public regarding specific breeds, rescue, and general information regarding the canine species. We are a 100% volunteer run and supported organization that cannot survive without the help of loving fosters, volunteers, and benefactors.
