Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Future Mouser • Barn Cat in Training • Zero Brakes, All Instinct
Skateboard is an approximately 3.5-month-old feral kitten who came into the shelter already certain of one thing: people are not his thing. From the very beginning, Skateboard has been intensely fear aggressive and uncomfortable with human interaction, making it clear that a traditional pet home is not in his future.
And that’s okay—because Skateboard has other talents.
This spicy little guy is enrolled in our Mouser Program, where kittens like him need the chance to grow up doing what comes naturally: living outdoors, staying independent, and learning the ways of pest control. With proper setup and care, Skateboard has the potential to become an excellent working cat on a farm, barn, workshop, warehouse, or rural property.
Skateboard’s Style:
Feral and fearful of people
Not a socialization project
Does best with minimal human interaction
Needs an outdoor working home where expectations are realistic
Why Take a Chance on Skateboard?
Young and adaptable to outdoor colony or barn life
Natural instincts already fully engaged
Low-maintenance companion for rodent control
Deserves a future that fits his personality, not one that forces change
Shelter life is stressful for a kitten like Skateboard, and he will thrive far more in a calm outdoor environment where he can grow up feeling safe, respected, and useful. With food, shelter, and space, Skateboard will take care of the rest.
If you’re looking to add a young mouser-in-training to your property and understand that not every cat wants to be touched, Skateboard may be the perfect fit. For more information about our mouser program and tips for bringing a mouser home, please visit https://www.caabr.org/mousers
