If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We rescued Luna after she was brought to a shelter as a stray. In the shelter she was very docile and quiet. Me, my wife and our two sons spent time with her and instantly fell in love. We brought her home and she fell into place immediately. Luna is a lounger, likes to snuggle with all of us and is great with the kids.
She does have some puppy energy that kicks in when she is starting to get tired, but easily under control with correction.
Our struggle has been the attempt to introduce her to our two cats we already have at home. We have done this slowly and each time there has been a bit more of aggression. She has seen the cats up the stairs at home and this causes her to bark, growl and make strong attempts to get upstairs to them.
This is the sole reason why we are looking to rehome Luna.
She is about 1-year old, 52 lbs, house broken and crate trained. No medical issues.
