Maple is a 2-month-old Husky mix. She currently weighs 13 pounds, and we estimate she will be medium-sized, around 50-60 pounds, once fully grown. She is sweet, quiet, and pretty mellow with bursts of energy. She likes to snuggle, but she’s also playful. She’s a little timid around new things like steps and crates, but she’s gaining confidence. She is easily trainable and learned sit, stay, and lie down in one day!
Miss Maple is working on everything she needs to know to grow up to be a good doggo. She is practicing her house-training skills. As smart as she is, that will be a breeze. This darling little girl sleeps quietly in her crate at night with NO accidents. We told you she was smart! Leash training is on her to-do list, and she will complete that with more time. Maple gets along with other dogs and has lots of fun playing with her sibling. She welcomes kiddos to play, too. This fun little gal would do best in an active home with a family willing to continue her training.
Maple will come to you spayed, microchipped, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, and flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $275. Apply to meet her by completing an adoption application at PawsitiveTailsKC.org. Meet-and-greets will be scheduled with approved adopters.

If everyone agrees that the adoption is a good fit, you will sign our contract, pay their adoption fee and the dog can go home!

Pawsitive Tails does not have a physical location. All of our dogs live in loving foster homes throughout the Kansas City and Topeka area. This allows fosters to get to know each dog personally, so we can find the very best home for them.

As a foster based rescue, every person with Pawsitive Tails is a volunteer. Because we do not have a facility, we do not have “open” hours but can be contacted between 8am and 9pm.
Can I stop in to visit dogs and play with puppies?
No. We require an approved application to be on file before meeting our dogs/puppies. In addition, our dogs live in foster homes, so we must work around the foster parents’ schedule.
