Hi, I’m Wick. I came to the shelter because I was having some trouble getting along with the two female cats in my home. I wasn’t neutered at the time, and sometimes my feelings were just a little bigger than I knew how to manage. Even so, I lived indoors with my people and other cats, and I showed that I can coexist—I played, slept nearby, sniffed noses, and yes, sometimes we argued, but no one was ever hurt. I’m a friendly, affectionate, and very vocal guy. I love to greet my people when they wake up or come home, and I’ll happily chat with you about my day. I enjoy sitting in laps, being pet (pretty much all the time!), and I’m polite about it—if I’ve had enough, I’ll simply walk away. I like being picked up too, as long as it’s on my terms. Playtime is important to me! I love toy balls and laser toys, and I’m a smart boy who enjoys interaction and engagement. I can be a bit shy or timid, especially around children or in new situations, so patience and gentle handling go a long way with me. I’ve lived with dogs before and did well—I played, cuddled, sniffed noses, and even groomed them. With other cats, I can do well too, but I’ll need slow introductions and an understanding adopter who’s willing to help everyone adjust and feel comfortable. I’m a loyal companion at heart. I’ll watch you leave the house from the window and wait excitedly for you to come back. If you’re looking for a loving, chatty cat who just needs the right environment and a little patience, I might be the perfect match for you.
