My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Winifred! 🐾🤎
Winifred is a beautiful 2-year-old brindle terrier mix with a friendly personality and a heart full of love. Weighing about 67 pounds, this sweet girl has a wonderful mix of playful energy and affectionate charm. She enjoys people and is always happy to make new friends, greeting everyone with a wagging tail and a warm spirit.

Winifred is heartworm positive, but with proper treatment and a committed adopter, she can go on to live a long, healthy, happy life. She’s ready for a forever home with a family who will support her through treatment and give her the love and stability she deserves. ❤️

Winifred is eager to start her next chapter in a loving home—one where she can relax, be adored, and finally belong. 🐶✨

More about this shelter

The Gulf Coast Humane Society is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to serving the animals and community of Southwest Florida. We receive no federal, state, or county funding, nor do we receive financial support from the Humane Society of the United States. Instead, our lifesaving work is made possible through the generosity of individual donations, grants, bequests, and community fundraising efforts.

As a no kill shelter, Gulf Coast Humane Society is committed to providing compassionate care for unwanted, neglected, and abandoned animals. We never euthanize due to space constraints or the length of time an animal has been in our care. Our mission is to give every animal the second chance they deserve in a safe and loving environment.
