My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Max is a happy, affectionate dog who truly thrives on human companionship. He’s incredibly loyal and loves being close to his people, whether that means following you around the house or settling in for some quality cuddle time. He’s smart, food-motivated, and eager to learn! Max has lots of energy and enthusiasm, especially when out and about, and would do well with an active family that can help channel his zest in positive ways.

When Max first arrived, he was a little worse for wear, but his fur has been growing in beautifully and he’s clearly feeling happier and more confident each day. He’s ready to leave shelter life behind and become someone’s devoted companion.

If you’re looking for a loving, people-oriented dog with a big heart, Max may be the perfect match!

HOUSE TRAINING:
If you exclude the first week, Max has had no bathroom incidents inside the home. He does ask to go out at the back door. I`ve left him alone outside of the crate in the house for upwards of 6 hours and he did great. He rarely counter surfs, but I have caught him a few times so leaving food on the countertop is not recommended.

CAR MANNERS:
Max likes to stick his nose out the window or lie down. H

Additional adoption info

Come into the Centre and if you see a pet you like, you are able to do a "Meet and Greet" with that pet. Spend some time in alone with the pet or take a dog out for a short walk. If you are still interested in adopting the pet you can meet with one of our Adoption Counsellors who will have you fill out and application and will ask you some questions about the environment in which you live. If you seem like a wonderful match and your envirnoment meets the needs of the pet then your application should be approved!
