My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mary Jane, a sweet 5-year-old Cavapoo who is looking for her forever home. Mary Jane found herself in our care when her previous owner could no longer care for her due to illness. She is a gentle soul who is a little wary of new people, but once she feels comfortable, she is a true character and full of life. Mary Jane would thrive in a quiet home with a female owner, as that is what she is used to. She is not a fan of other dogs and would prefer to be the only furry friend in the household, so she can have all the love and attention to herself. Mary Jane has a cute habit of carrying her toys around with her and treating them like her babies. She loves to spend her days cuddling, collecting, and cleaning her toys, and will even protect them from other dogs. Mary Jane is on medication for seizures, and we are happy to report that she hasn't had any issues since joining us. Her adoption fee is $250, and she has been spayed and microchipped. If you think Mary Jane could be the perfect addition to your quiet home, please go to our website and fill out an application to meet her. www.susieqdogresq.com She is a loving dog who is ready to bring joy and companionship to the right family. Could that be you?

More about this rescue

SusieQ Dog ResQ has a mission to rescue needy and unwanted dogs and keep them in our home until a home of their own can be found. I started my non profit venture following my volunteering in the rescue of animals in New Orleans after hurricane Katrina. It was then that I knew I wanted to focus on this full time. I do know that one person doing their part, no matter how large or small, can make a difference.I have met so many gracious, deserving pets over the years and try to give back the love and trust they put in me by improving their lives and giving them a chance to find a forever home.. I have met many dedicated people from all over the U.S. doing what they can to improve the lives of many formerly unwanted pets. I have fallen in love with my FOSTER FURRIES over the years and although it is always hard to let them go, just thinking of the next one needing to be saved helps me continue. I do this in my own home where I get to know each and every one of them very well and can make the best matches into new families. They all stay in my home and become part of our family until their own family can be found. I do this with the help of my husband, Ray, who is a retired Firefighter. We recieved our 501c3 non-profit status in 2007 so donations are tax deductible. Donations are needed to help with the vet bills and to keep my rescue going. We are volunteers so every dollar goes into caring for the animals. Thank you for considering a rescue dog.
