My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sugar Cookie, a delightful 6-month-old kitten who is as sweet as her name suggests. Sugar Cookie is a shy girl who will need a little extra time, patience, and understanding to feel safe in a new environment. Once she begins to settle in, her playful curiosity starts to shine through, and she enjoys gentle play, exploring her surroundings, and quiet moments of rest.

Sugar Cookie is looking for an indoor-only home where she can stay safe and continue to build confidence at her own pace.

At this age, Sugar Cookie will benefit from high-quality kitten food, daily interactive play to support healthy development, and a calm, predictable environment with scratching posts, toys, and cozy hiding spots where she can feel secure. She is continuing to learn the rhythms of home life and will thrive with patience, routine, and gentle guidance.

Sugar Cookie is searching for a loving, committed home that understands shy kittens and is willing to give her the time she needs to feel safe and loved. With compassion and consistency, she has the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion. If you're ready to offer a calm and nurturing home, Sugar Cookie would love the chance to meet you. 🍪🐾

Additional adoption info

*General Adoption Information: If you are interested in adopting an animal from our shelter, you will need to come to Quesnel to visit the animal and process the adoption here. Due to our remote location we cannot arrange for animals to be transferred to a shelter closer to you by request.

Please note that in many of our provincial shelters renters are required to bring in copies of their strata council by-laws in order to be approved for adopting.

Please contact us at the shelter for any adoption requirements before visiting us to adopt so that you are correctly prepared to take your new family member home.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:
