My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Finn (yes, two N’s… double the love!)

Finn came to us with a story that breaks our hearts. He once had an owner… but when they moved, Finn was left behind.

When a vet scanned his microchip thinking he was lost, the owner confirmed the truth—he was no longer wanted. Finn arrived skinny, with scratches and cuts that told a story of survival. But here’s the beautiful part: Finn is thriving now.

In foster care, this handsome redhead pittie mix (complete with the cutest little underbite ) has blossomed into the most affectionate, loyal companion. We think because he never really got to bond before, Finn has decided that his people are his whole world—and he takes that job very seriously.

Finn’s Foster Mom says:

    •    He LOVES attention and is happiest snuggled on the couch

    •    Total Velcro dog—if allowed, he’d hug your neck all day

    •    Smart and responsive to corrections

    •    Super fast and athletic (agility potential? YES!)

    •    Enjoys running, outdoor adventures, and would thrive with an active person

    •    Crate trained and does great while the family is at work/school

    •    Dog, people, and kid friendly

    •    May do best as an only dog or with just one calm dog, since he likes being “the favorite”

Ideal home:

An active family or individual who wants a devoted sidekick—whether that’s as your one-and-only or with just one other dog to share the spotlight.

Finn didn’t get chosen the first time… but we know his forever person is out there now.

We are foster based so once you find a pet either online or at one of our adoption events please submit an application bit.ly/BellesBudsApp

2.

Interview

Once the application is processed we will set up a phone interview and meet and greet (depending on your location).

3.

Meet the Pet

Once the application is approved, we will set up a meet and greet. This varies either at your house, with your pet, or at fosters house.

4.

Home Check

We require either a home video/pictures or a home visit.

5.

6.

Pay Fee

Our adoption fee goes towards the dogs vetting. All dogs leave fully vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered (if old enough)

7.

Take the Pet Home

Enjoy your new companion! We love our success stories!

Additional adoption info

Once someone has expressed interest in a dog, we send them an adoption application to fill out. These questions help us determine if the dog is a right fit for their home/living arrangements. We will then set up a meet and greet and (if possible) home visit, to make sure the dog will get along with everyone (especially if they have other pets). We also rely heavily on references. Once it is determined the dog and person are the perfect fit, we will continue with an adoption contract and adoption fee.
