My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cassie is a beautiful and very sweet tabico girl who gave birth to two kittens in October. She was a very good mom, and took great care of them. But it's now time for the kittens to move on, and for Cassie to have a forever home of her own. Cassie is quite playful. When her foster gets out the wand toys, she plays just as enthusiasticly as her kittens. And she wants to sleep with her people at night, on their bed. She has just recently started coming to her foster when she wants love and affection during the day, too. Cassie needs her own people to love!

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. You can also contact us directly regarding a pet seen here and we will set up a time for you to meet them in person. Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
