My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Diane is a cutie, with her white paws and an orange stripe on the back of her head. Like her sister and playmate, Esther, Diane is always busy having fun, romping, hiding in tunnels, and playing with toys. Diane is not much for cuddling unless she is tired. She will follow you around just to see what you're up to, and she loves to play with her people if they wield wand toys. We are hoping she can be adopoted with her sister for double the fun!

All of our dogs, cats, rabbits & ferrets are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Small animals are usually not altered. We have adoption applications, a short interview process, and an adoption fee for each animal. All animals (except rabbits & small animals) are up to date on all shots.

We hold adoption events on Saturdays at Petsmart in Mishawaka from 11-3. We also hold other events throughout the year. Heartland Small Animal Rescue is a non-profit serving South Bend & surrounding cities. We are comprised of a group of dedicated volunteers who work to find loving homes for homeless pets in our area.

Company Overview
Heartland Small Animal Rescue Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving South Bend, IN and surrounding towns by taking in homeless pets and adopting them out into loving homes. We also work closely with local shelters to reduce euthanasia rates by pulling animals and putting them in our program.
