Kris (10/31/25) arrived at Pet Search a few days after Thanksgiving 2025. She was found hiding under a tractor in a family’s yard Thanksgiving night. This sweet girl was fed gruel (milk replacer mixed with canned kitten food) as she was too tiny to eat dry food. After battling an upper respiratory infection, she was vaccinated and tested for felv/fiv (negative). She has her first two sets of vaccines and is microchipped; she is scheduled for rabies and spay when she reaches 3 pounds (which is included in her adoption.
This precious little girl is so very social and has been with dogs, cats and kids. She loves to play with her toys and explore everything!

Pet Search is an all-volunteer, non-euthanizing rescue and placement service that has been in Washington County since 1985. Pet Search's philosophy is that all pets deserve a second chance for a hoe and love. Pet Search has chosen not to use a shelter-type environment with kennels and cages, but perfers to "home shelter" animals with volunteers in private homes. Pet Search is a privately funded organization, relying on the generousity of fellow animal lovers.
