Hi, my name is Whitney, and I’m a happy, medium-sized chocolate-and-white terrier mix with a big smile and an even bigger heart. I love being outdoors—walks, hikes, and exploring the world are some of my favorite things. I do great on leash and enjoy running around the yard, especially when I get to play with my foster siblings, both dogs and cats.
I’m a smart girl and eager to learn. I already know sit and lay down, and I politely sit and wait for my meals until I’m told “eat.” When the day winds down, my favorite place to be is right next to my people. If I could fit in your pocket, I’d happily stay there all day—I truly love being close.
I’m house-trained, crate-trained, great with children, and have a gentle, affectionate nature. I can be a little nervous around men and loud fireworks, but with patience and reassurance, I continue to gain confidence.
I do still get excited and jump up sometimes (we’re working on my manners!), so I may be best with kids who aren’t super tiny. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will happily join you on adventures and cuddle up with you afterward, I just might be your girl.
My adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?
If you`d like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org.
Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, you’re welcome to walk in anytime between 10:00am and 5:00pm. Please note that we’re closed for adoptions on Sundays and Mondays

Since the opening of our adoption, medical, and boarding facility in Spring 2012, we have been able to save more than 15,000 companion pets from euthanasia and gave them a new lease on life. We continue to strive toward the goal of a no-kill community and state through adoption, pet retention, rescue partnerships, and medical services.
