My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Myni!
Myni is a sweet, gentle girl who may be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she turns into the ultimate lap napper. She loves curling up in your lap and soaking up the quiet comfort of being close to her person.
Myni has a very soft, polite personality and is a gentle player. She enjoys playtime, but she’s not the type to fight for the spotlight—if another cat is around, she’ll usually step back and let them take over. Because of this, Myni would do best either as the only cat in the home or with a very calm, easygoing feline friend who won’t overwhelm her.
One of Myni’s cutest quirks is that she loves splashing and playing in her water bowl, so her family will need to keep an eye on it and make sure it stays filled.
Myni is very submissive and does not do well with a pushy or “bully” type cat. She’s looking for a peaceful home where she can feel safe, relaxed, and loved at her own pace. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who just needs a little time to settle in, Myni could be the perfect match. To have your home considered for adoption, read about our adoption process or fees, and find out about interstate transport (dogs only), please visit our website.

Long Way Home makes no guarantees on breed--most animals we receive from shelters are mixed breeds. As long as they need rescue, that's what is most important to us.

More about this rescue

Long Way Home was created to provide the last stop for animals displaced from their homes, deemed "unadoptable" by other rescues, or that need a level of care their previous owners or other shelters are unable or unwilling to provide.
