My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

15-year-old Pickles was taken to the Humane Society of Imperial County when her owner's health issues advanced to the point where she could no longer care for Pickles. Now a Frosted Face and with heart issues of her own, this sweet little girl is looking for a soft place to land and be loved for the rest of her days.

Pickles enjoyed a special outing with a volunteer, who shared afterwards: "Pickles made today absolutely perfect. She is the kind of dog who reminds you that the smallest moments matter most. Before we even left FFF, she happily rubbed herself all over a lobby bed, clearly announcing, “Yes, this is mine.” She repeated this adorable ritual on a car bed, in a stroller, and on a blanket at the park. Everywhere she goes, Pickles knows how to get comfy!

She joined me on errands to ACE, USPS, UPS, Ashley Furniture, Bob’s Furniture, Petco, and the pharmacy—politely accepting treats along the way, helping test out at least 15 couches, and even sharing a few fries. At the park, Pickles lounged peacefully, soaking in the sunshine. She was quiet in the car, friendly with everyone who stopped to say hello, and perfectly content just being by my side."

Pickles doesn’t need much—just love, gentleness, and a family willing to cherish her for however long they’re lucky enough to have her. She truly needs a home now. You may not get a long time with Pickles, but every moment will be worth it.
