Sativa is 4 years old, her birthday is in December. We believe she’s an Australian Cattle dog/Shepherd mixed with an unknown breed. She’s 55-65 pounds. My girlfriend raised her from a puppy, and she moved in with me over two years ago. In our first apartment for the first year, Tiva was fantastic.
Moving into the new apartment a little over a year ago, things were going well and we got the news that my girlfriend is diabetic. Undertaking her medical care has left us with inadequate time to take care of Sativa properly. She has endless energy and will run all day, outside the house and in.
Since our time has been taken from us, we’ve seen regression in her. She’s becoming reactive to dogs outside, she never was. She’s starting new behaviors like toilet drinking, jumping, and leash pulling. She used to live with a dog in her first 2 years, and we think she could be homed with a dog, she’s not aggressive, just very reactive. We live with 2 cats and she cohabitates well with them.
