My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mistletoe: A Story of Survival, Love, and Second Chances

Mistletoe’s story begins on a cold autumn day, long before she ever knew what a warm bed or gentle hands felt like. She was first spotted near my daughter’s house — a tiny kitten darting around outside, alone but trying her best to be brave. Neighbors said she belonged to someone, so she was left undisturbed at first. But as the weather turned colder and the kitten kept returning, something didn’t feel right.

One day, my granddaughter brought her inside, and the truth came out:The tenant had moved out and left Mistletoe behind. Alone. In the freezing cold. With no food, no shelter, and no one to protect her.

She was scooped up, wrapped in safety, and brought straight to me — and that’s where her real story begins.

Mistletoe, born around August 4, 2025, is a stunning split‑face TORTICO with markings so unique they look hand‑painted. Her beauty is striking, but it’s her heart that makes her unforgettable. After everything she’s been through, she wants nothing more than cuddles, warmth, and being close to her people.

Snuggling is her love language, and she gives it freely.

She grew up in a lively foster home filled with a Saint Bernard, a Pomsky, a Maltipoo, resident cats, and a rotating cast of foster babies. With new kittens and cats, she sometimes needs a moment — a little hiss to say “give me space” — but once she warms up, she blossoms into a playful, affectionate little girl who pounces, zooms, and loves with her whole heart.

Mistletoe would thrive as:

A cherished singleton for someone wanting a devoted comfort companion.

A loving addition to a family home with pets and kids who understand gentle introductions

One thing is certain: Mistletoe NEVER wants to see the Outdoors again. After being abandoned in the cold, she knows that inside is where safety lives — where love lives — and she’s ready for a home that will never leave her behind.

She’s looking for a family who will give her warmth, playtime, soft blankets, and a lifetime of love. In return, she’ll give you loyalty, cuddles, and the sweetest companionship you could ask for.

Mistletoe is ready for her forever home — one where she will always be treasured, always be safe, and always be loved.
