Frankie is a tiny, lovable little boy who is just beginning his journey in life and is ready to find a family of his very own. At only 6 weeks old, Frankie is still a baby and soaking up everything around him. He has a friendly, happy personality and approaches people and other dogs with curiosity and sweetness. Because he is so young, there truly isn’t anything about him that can’t be shaped with patience, love, and positive training.
Frankie has a low energy level typical of a very young puppy — short bursts of playful fun followed by plenty of naps. He loves toys and enjoys gentle playtime, especially with his siblings. One of the most endearing things about him is simply watching him be a puppy: crawling over his brothers and sisters while they sleep, toddling around during playtime, and exploring the world with wide-eyed curiosity. Everything he does is adorable.
Frankie has a very quiet little voice and only lets out small barks when he’s playing with his siblings. Because of his tiny size, he tends to stay close and often plays right at your feet. Extra care should be taken in homes with children under 10 to ensure he isn’t accidentally stepped on or handled too roughly. Gentle supervision is important so he can stay safe and confident as he grows.
Frankie’s start in life was heartbreaking. He and his siblings were dumped in a container near a dumpster with no food, no water, and no shelter. Thankfully, they were rescued in time and brought into care, where Frankie is now safe and thriving. Despite his rough beginning, he has shown nothing but sweetness and resilience.
As a very young puppy, Frankie does not yet understand the concept of needing another dog companion and can do well either way. What he truly needs is a loving home that understands puppy care, including ongoing training, patience, and lots of affection. With the right family, Frankie will grow into a wonderful dog shaped by kindness and consistency.
Frankie is a blank slate full of potential — a tiny puppy with a big heart, ready to grow up loved, protected, and cherished!
Frankie is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 01/24/2026 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 8:30am and noon. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
