Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Scrappy’s story is one of quiet resilience, second chances, and a heart that never gave up.
At just three years old, Scrappy has already lived a life most dogs should never know. He was found wandering the streets of South Texas as a stray—skin and bones, covered in mange and fleas, and clearly neglected. Despite everything he had endured, Scrappy’s gentle spirit shone through. Even when the world hadn’t been kind to him, he still trusted it.
With proper care, nourishment, and love, Scrappy has made an incredible transformation. Today, he weighs around 20 pounds and is thriving. His coat has healed, his eyes are bright, and his tail wags freely. He is fully housebroken, crate trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. Scrappy gets along wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and children, making him an easy and joyful addition to almost any home.
Scrappy is fully vaccinated, neutered, heartworm negative, and faithfully kept on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention—ready for a healthy, happy future.
What truly sets Scrappy apart is his heart. He is an exceptionally sweet, friendly, and loving boy who soaks up affection and gives it right back. He’s the kind of dog who wants to be near you, quietly reminding you how special it is to be loved.
Scrappy has already survived the hardest chapter of his life. Now, he’s waiting for a family who will give him the forever home he deserves—one filled with warmth, kindness, and the love he’s always been ready to give.
