Meet Bowie 💙
A deeply loyal, big-hearted dog who loves with his whole soul.
Bowie is the kind of dog who forms a tight, meaningful bond with his people. With his immediate family — mom, dad, and two kids — he is affectionate, cuddly, and fully devoted. He thrives on closeness, loves being touched by his favorite humans, and will happily lean in for vigorous neck scratches any chance he gets. If you talk to him, he’ll tilt his head and listen like he’s trying to understand every word.
At home, Bowie is a rock-solid companion. He’s fully crate trained, happily settling in overnight without complaint, and has been 100% potty trained for years — he’ll even alert you when it’s time to go outside. He understands structure and does beautifully with it, holding his “place” when asked and respecting boundaries, including an invisible fence. He’s quiet and observant, barking only when something truly seems out of place, like a car pulling into the driveway or a knock at the door.
Bowie enjoys his daily walks, walks politely on leash, and responds reliably to commands like “heel” and “come.” He’s not reactive toward dogs or people while out and about, though squirrels definitely test his self-control. He loves tug games, playing hide-and-seek with his family, short car rides, and gleefully dismantling squeaky toys. Toss him an ice cube and he’ll try to catch it midair like it’s the best game ever invented.
Socially, Bowie does great with other dogs and regularly attends free-range doggie daycare without issue. He lives peacefully with a cat who was already part of the household, though he will chase unfamiliar cats or small critters outdoors — his prey drive is something to be mindful of. When it comes to visitors, Bowie is protective of his home and family. He needs clear boundaries and management with new people, especially children outside his immediate family, and does best when his space and routines are respected. With familiar adult visitors, he can relax and coexist comfortably.
Healthy, vaccinated, and well cared for, Bowie is ready for a home that values loyalty, structure, and deep connection. He doesn’t need to be everyone’s dog — he wants to be your dog. In the right home, with patient, confident humans who appreciate his devotion and respect his needs, Bowie will be an incredibly loving and rewarding companion.
