My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet us at Tractor Supply 1253 Route 311, Patterson, NY 12563 on Sunday 1/18/2026 from 11am to 1pm. (Always check our hours and events page in case of inclement weather changes before heading out to the event: https://pawsafe.org/events/ )

🐾 Meet the "Action Pack" – 11-Week-Old Boxer/Shepherd Mixes!
Are you looking for a best friend who is equal parts "wiggle-butt" and "smartypants"? Meet our litter of Boxer/Shepherd mixes! At 11 weeks old, these chunky monkeys are the perfect age to start their forever journey with a family who loves adventure.

The Best of Both Worlds
These pups have hit the genetic jackpot. They’ve got the Boxer’s famous sense of humor and "kid-at-heart" energy, blended with the Shepherd’s intelligence and loyal, protective nature. They are "velcro dogs" in the making!

Health & Stats
We’ve done the heavy lifting so you can focus on the bonding:
• Age: 11 Weeks
• Health: Up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives.
• Status: Already spayed/neutered and ready to go home on 1/18/2026!
• Size: They are currently medium-sized solid pups, but expect them to grow into sturdy, athletic companions (approx. 50–70 lbs).

What Their Future Looks Like
These aren't couch potato pups! Because they are believed to be half Shepherd, they crave mental stimulation (think puzzle toys and training games). Because they are also believed to be half Boxer, they need room to zoom. They would thrive in homes with:
1. Active Lifestyles: Hikers, runners, or backyard ball-throwers.
2. Training Enthusiasts: They are eager to please and will excel in puppy manners classes.
3. Cuddle Buddies: Once the zoomies are out, they are professional-grade snugglers.

How to meet dogs listed with "NY" :
If the dog is listed with an 'Avail date" and a (location) - the dog cannot be met until the event and it is a first come, first served adoption event with the dogs being met in the order the potential adopters sign in.

If the dog is listed as being in a (foster home ie: Foster in Carmel) please email us at info@pawsafe.org and we will set up an appointment for you to meet the dog(s) that interest you at their foster home(s).

**** We are sorry, but we cannot adopt to Massachusetts residents. This is a Ma Dept. of Agriculture policy, not ours.

More about this rescue

We work very closely with rescues in southern states to find new homes for dogs and puppies who deserve a family despite their state of origin.

Most of the puppies in our care come from over-crowded shelters in states with extreme over population and high kill rates. Our main goal is to place orphaned and unwanted animals into loving permanent homes.
