My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Buttons

Buttons is currently thriving in a loving foster home while she waits for her forever family — and her foster has shared some wonderful insight into who she truly is.

Buttons is a gentle, sensitive girl who is slowly learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. She can be shy at first, but every day she comes out of her shell a little more. One thing she absolutely loves is being outside — especially when she has a fenced yard where she can run, zoom, and stretch her legs. When she’s out there, she loves to run back to her person just to check in, making sure you’re right by her side.

Despite her love for outdoor adventures, Buttons is also a quiet snuggler. She enjoys curling up next to you on the couch, but she’s also happy to relax nearby on the floor. She takes treats and food so gently you can barely feel it — a true sweetheart through and through.

Buttons has been doing very well with potty training and just needs someone patient and kind to continue helping her build confidence. She does great with other dogs, gets along wonderfully with cats and rabbits, and even does well around chickens — she may get curious, but listens when told “no.”

Buttons would do best with older kids, simply because she doesn’t yet understand her own size and energy and may knock young ones down — but her heart is pure.

If you’re looking for a soft-hearted pup who wants to be your shadow, your running buddy, and your quiet couch companion all in one — Buttons might just be your girl.

Buttons is currently in foster care until she finds her forever home.
