Oscar is a curious, playful, and affectionate boy who loves people and other cats, with little to no warm-up time. He’s also confident and independent enough to thrive as an only “cat son.” After more than a year on the Brooklyn streets, he now delights in indoor comforts and long cuddles. With his loving personality and appreciation for cozy living, Oscar would be a wonderful companion.
Oscar has regressive Feline Leukemia (FeLV), which is contagious only to cats and has no cure. While FeLV weakens the immune system, cats can live happy, comfortable lives with routine vet care, a low-stress home, and good nutrition. Oscar eats a high-quality diet and takes daily and weekly immune-support supplements with ease.
About 2 years old, Oscar is neutered, microchipped, FIV-negative, up to date on vaccines, and treated for parasites. Due to his FeLV status, he should be the only cat or live with other FeLV-positive cats. A patient, attentive adopter with moderate cat experience is preferred.
