My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Name: Blondie

Sex: Female

Estimated Age: About 1-2 years old

Best Guess for Breed: Terrier Mix

Weight: About 40 lbs

Lives With: Dogs, cats and people!

Housebroken? She’s crate and potty trained!

Story: Blondie comes to us from a shelter in South Carolina where she lived for over a year. We are so happy to have her safe and sound in a foster home in the DC area now. Blondie is a shy sweetie who loves people and gets along great with other dogs and puppies. While she’s still settling in now, soon enough she’ll know how to get comfortable up on the couch with her humans, and will love to join you on walks and trots around the neighborhood. Blondie is just looking for someone to be her new best furend and we know that she will repay them with endless amounts of love and tail wags. Like all dogs, Blondie will need an adopter who is committed to setting her up for success by enrolling in obedience training and exercising her both mentally and physically. She will also need love, patience, and socialization in order to thrive!

What my foster says: Blondie is one of the gentlest, most docile dogs she’s seen. She seems shy at first but she is actually very affectionate with people, playful with other dogs, and calm with cats. She is quick to learn house rules, is eager to please, and is such a sweet snuggle buddy. She’d be ideal for a family looking for a docile, patient young adult dog.

The fee to adopt Blondie is $475. That covers the cost of all her vaccines, her spay, the collar she’s wearing, her transport to DC and her care in her foster home. She’s up to date on all age appropriate vaccines.

If you think that Blondie might be your perfect match, apply today!
