✨ Mama Eve is accepting applications & ready for meet and greets! ✨
*She looks big in photos but she is only about 20lbs*
Eve is the proud mama to Midnight and Joy, and while her babies are still growing (they’re 5 weeks old), Eve herself will be ready to go home in about 3–4 weeks once they’re a little more independent. She can go home the week of the February 7th when her puppies are 9 weeks old
Here’s what you need to know about this amazing girl 👇
🐶 About Eve:
• Estimated age: 1–1.5 years old
• Potty trained & crate trained
• Full of spunk, personality, and love
• Still has lots of puppy energy in the best way
• Loves her people and wants to be involved when you’re home
• Sleeps great in a crate when away from her puppies
• LOVES playing fetch—and actually brings it back! 🎾
🏡 Home needs:
• NO fenced yard required
• Must be leash-walked or supervised in fenced area at all times outside
• She can jump a fence, but won’t if someone is watching
🩺 Spay info:
Eve’s spay appointment is scheduled for February 17th in Florissant.
If she is adopted before then, her adopter must be able to bring her to that appointment.
Eve does have some seperation anxiety when outside, she goes right out and does her business but wants to come in immediately after if you’r not with her
Eve is truly the best mix of playful, affectionate, and fun—and she’s more than ready to find a home of her very own once her mama duties are done. 💕

Additional adoption info
Thank you for your interest in adopting one of our dogs!!
o Adoption fees cover: Spay/neuter, clear stool sample, HW test for dogs brought in over 4-mths of age, all required vaccinations and a clean bill of health from our veterinarian. Puppies will have all age-appropriate vaccinations; however, follow-up vetting may be required depending on age but are covered by the rescue at our veterinarian.
o If you are interested in one of our dogs, please submit an adoption application. An application is REQUIRED to meet our dogs unless you come to a meet/greet event.
o If the dog is listed on pet sites, it is available for
adoption; it is not necessary to call/email to ask if they are available.
o As a foster-based rescue, we do not have facility for you to come visit our dogs which is why an application is required prior to meeting.
o Meet/Greet Events: You can visit our website to find our when we have scheduled meet/greet events www.luckyk9rescue.org.
o Adoption Process: An application is submitted and approved, a meet/greet is scheduled and a home visit is required. The adoption process takes at minimum of a week AFTER your application has been approved and a meet and greet scheduled.
o Once applications are submitted – if you meet the minimum requirements for the dog you are interested in, the application is forwarded to the foster for their review. It can take time for us and the foster to review all the applications received. This part of the process can take a few weeks, sometimes more. Due to the number of applications we receive for all the dogs/puppies we are not able to respond to everyone as to the status of their application. You will be contacted if you are selected to schedule a meet/greet.
o If selected as a potential adoptive family you will be contacted by phone, text or email to schedule a meet/greet. Because we are all volunteers and have full-time jobs & families out adoption process does take time. Forever homes are chosen based on the dog’s personality and the applicant we feel offers the best fit for the dog. Please be patient with us through this process.
o Adoption decisions are based input from both the foster family and the board requirements. >> Adopters are selected based on the best fit for the dog and are not selected on a first come first serve basis.

Lucky K9 Rescue "Lucky K9" is a section 501(c)(3) dog rescue group, incorporated in 2016, with years of animal and rescue experience amongst our volunteers. "Lucky K9 " is committed to helping the most needy, as well as the readily adoptable, among our community's most vulnerable creatures. We are dedicated to restoring the dogs under our care to physical and emotional health as they await placement in loving, responsible homes.
Just like many smaller rescue organizations, Lucky K9 Rescue is 100% volunteer driven. We all work regular full-time jobs and many have families as well. Being a foster-based rescue organization, means all our dogs live in the loving homes of our volunteer foster families.
We do not adopt out dogs until they have had time to decompress (typically 3-6 weeks), are fully vetted, we get to know their personalities and ensure there are not any underlying concerns or health issues.
