My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This unique orange kitty stands out with a tiny notch on his mouth — a one-of-a-kind feature that makes him extra memorable. Cider is super agile and full of energy when playing with his siblings, darting and pouncing wildly to join the fun. Since Cider loves to play, he would do best going home with a buddy or to a home with a playful resident cat.

He’s pretty chill and independent most of the time, never hovering around you constantly unless food’s involved. He’s hyper-sensitive to meal prep sounds; the crinkle of a treat bag or clink of a bowl will have him meowing eagerly over it. He even knows the "sit" command for snacks, sitting patiently at your feet for his share.

When not playing or waiting for treats, Cider loves quiet moments: curling up on the bed to soak up sunlight, or perching by the window for hours to watch snowflakes drift or the world go by. He’s not big on being held yet, but will happily hang out nearby while you relax, always keeping an eye out for tasty snacks.

Cider is the perfect mix of playful chaos and laid-back calm. He’s looking for a home that adores his dual personality — equal parts lively adventurer and independent companion — ideal for someone who appreciates a kitty with tons of character and a simple love for good food.

Cider is estimated to be 9 months old. He is neutered, flea treated, dewormed, vaccinated, microchipped, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

Their adoption process

1.

Submit Application

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.

2.

Approve Application

We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.

3.

Interview

We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.

4.

Meet the Pet

Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!

6.

Pay Fee

7.

Additional adoption info

We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

More about this rescue

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.

Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
