This handsome orange kitty has a quiet, grounded vibe—he’s not one for chaotic zoomies, but he loves a good play session with his siblings or a wand toy. He will surprise you by jumping nice and high to chase the lure. His meows are soft, a little hoarse, and always short and to the point—no drawn-out, nonstop calls.
Pumpkin is a slow-to-warm-up guy, but he’ll let you scratch his favorite spot (his butt!) when he’s feeling relaxed—just watch him lower his body to lean into your touch, and you’ll hear him let out a loud, happy purr. He’s quick to purr —whether he’s curled up nearby, hanging out by your side, or even eyeing a tasty snack- that rumbling sound is never far off. He’s not into being held or cuddled yet, but he’ll happily hang out close by, either curled up alone in a warm little spot or snuggled with his brother Cider. He does appreciate companionship so Pumpkin needs to go home with one of his buddies in foster or to a home with a resident friendly cat. He’s also a total window watcher, especially when it’s snowing outside.
When mealtime rolls around, he’s very eager—he’ll circle your feet and let out those short, soft meows to remind you he’s waiting! He eats at a slow, steady pace, savoring every bite, and if anyone tries to sneak a bite from his bowl, he’ll bat them away with his paw to guard his food.
Pumpkin is estimated to be 9 months old. He is neutered, microchipped, flea treated, vaccinated, dewormed, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Pumpkin is looking for a patient home where he can take his time to open up—ideal for someone who cherishes a quiet, steady companion with a wonderfully mellow spirit!

Typically we talk a little with potential adopters to find a cat who is a good fit before sharing the application.
2.
Approve Application
We check over the application including checking vet references and doing landlord checks.
3.
Interview
We spend more time chatting with the adopters to specifically go over any questions from the application and details about the specific cat.
4.
Meet the Pet
Potential adopters have a meet and greet with the cat or kitten in the foster home.
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
At the meet and greet, if all goes well, the adoption contract can be signed, the fee can be paid, and the pet can go home!
6.
Pay Fee
7.
Take the Pet Home
Additional adoption info
We try to do our best to make sure we find good fitting, responsible homes, without wasting a lot of our time. Our app has a lot of screening questions which help eliminate potential adopters who might not be serious (they usually just don't return the app), or not a good fit, which is why the in depth interview happens once the app is returned.

We are a small but dedicated 501c3 nonprofit cat rescue specializing in making one person's garbage kitten another person's forever cat.
Our mission is to reduce feline suffering and overpopulation using a combination of TNR and adoptions. We foster and socialize whenever we have the resources to do so, including behavioral cats and kittens who might otherwise just be candidates for TNR.
