We have had Mousse for nearly 2 years. His previous owner gave him up because they were not home much. My husband and I are in our 80's and live in a small home. Husband likes to hunt and thought Mousse could be his new retriever since he lost his the year before. Mousse is a sweet boy that loves to play. Can fetch all day long. Takes treats sweetly from your hand.
We have found after having him nearly two years that he needs someone who can spend alot of time with him and has the energy to train him. He does not like being left alone in the house so we purchased a electric containment system so he can be out when we are gone.
We have realized he is to much dog for us and found that he has food guarding issues. You can feed him and give him snacks but never try to take the food away, because of this I do not think a home with children is a good idea and if you have another dog, as we do, they should be fed seperately. We really want him to go to someone who can spend time.
